{"id":1103,"date":"2024-09-05T20:12:02","date_gmt":"2024-09-05T20:12:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/filipzajac.me\/?p=1103"},"modified":"2024-09-09T03:03:01","modified_gmt":"2024-09-09T03:03:01","slug":"larry-ellison-will-control-majority-of-paramount-as-result-of-skydance-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/filipzajac.me\/index.php\/2024\/09\/05\/larry-ellison-will-control-majority-of-paramount-as-result-of-skydance-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"Larry Ellison will control majority of Paramount as result of Skydance deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Billionaire tech and media mogul Larry Ellison will control more than two-thirds of Hollywood giant Paramount and National Amusements under a massive merger in the works between the conglomerate and moviemaker Skydance.<\/p>\n<p>Ellison, who reportedly put up more than $6 billion for the deal, would as a result control just more than 77 percent of National Amusements, Bloomberg <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/larry-ellison-control-paramount-deal-170250842.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/larry-ellison-control-paramount-deal-170250842.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported Thursday<\/a>, citing a new filing with the Federal Communications Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The deal, announced earlier this summer, will create a media company dubbed\u00a0\u201cNew Paramount\u201d as part of a merger estimated to be valued at about $28 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Ellison is a software tycoon and one of the world&#8217;s richest people after founding Oracle. He is known for his large-scale investing across the technology and media sectors.
