{"id":633,"date":"2024-06-25T22:11:24","date_gmt":"2024-06-25T22:11:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/filipzajac.me\/?p=633"},"modified":"2024-07-01T03:10:04","modified_gmt":"2024-07-01T03:10:04","slug":"monthly-rents-across-country-continue-to-rise-in-june-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/filipzajac.me\/index.php\/2024\/06\/25\/monthly-rents-across-country-continue-to-rise-in-june-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Monthly rents across country continue to rise in June: Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The cost of shelter in the United States has gone up again, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zumper.com\/blog\/rental-price-data\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zumper\u2019s national rent report.<\/a> \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The national median price for one-bedroom rents increased 1.5 percent to $1,526, while the national median price for two-bedroom rents increased 1.9 percent to $1,900 in June, according to the report.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe national index continuing this trend of monthly growth coupled with the current persistent inflation suggests that housing will remain a challenge for the Federal Reserve\u2019s efforts to lower interest rates this year,\u201d the report read. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Annually, national one- and two-bedroom rent prices are up 1.5 percent and 2.1 percent, respectively. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While national rates are \u201ccurrently fairly low,\u201d they have not offset large rent spikes that have occurred across the country over the past few years, the report noted. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe national one and two-bedroom prices are still $300-$400 more expensive than 4 years ago,\u201d the report reads. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The New York rental market continues to show the fastest rent growth.
